Join Mid-Valley SHRM for the April Meeting Significant 2020 National Labor Relations Board Decisions & What Employers Need to Know for 2021

    About this Event

This program will explain the contours of recent activity by the National Labor Relations Board on a number of labor relations subjects, including the developing limits of protected concerted activity, employee conduct under the Act during the pandemic, workplace policies, and other significant developments. With an understanding of the new laws, Barran Liebman labor and employment attorney, Kyle Abraham, will guide attendees in a discussion of the practical implications of these new developments, and attendees will be encouraged to share their perspective on the impact of the shifting sands of the NLRB’s expanding agenda. Finally, Kyle will facilitate a discussion and offer recommendations on strategies for how to address these new challenges.

Presented by Kyle Abraham of Barran Liebman.

Kyle Abraham represents employers in traditional labor and employment law matters. Kyle’s labor practice includes negotiating collective bargaining agreements, advising on contract administration issues, and representing employers before labor arbitrators, the National Labor Relations Board, and the Oregon Employment Relations Board. In his employment law practice, Kyle is an experienced litigator who has successfully represented clients before U.S. circuit and district courts, Oregon and Washington state courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Oregon’s Bureau of Labor and Industries, and other state and federal agencies. Kyle leverages his experience to help employers anticipate and resolve problems at the earliest possible stage and in a cost-effective manner, with the confidence and capability to defend employers if the matter escalates to litigation. Additionally, Kyle is a trained and experienced workplace investigator, and he regularly conducts investigations into allegations of employee misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, or other sensitive issues. Kyle has been recognized as an expert witness in the field of workplace investigations.
